WEST WIGHT ARTS ASSOCIATION is the one organisation on the Isle of Wight offering a season of professional concerts from September to April. The Association was formed in 1947 under the aegis of the Arts Council and has for 61 years promoted performances regularly in Freshwater. It attracts outstanding musicians, chamber music ensembles, string quartets, singers and concert pianists, many of them young professionals who have taken part in the final auditions of the Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT) at the Wigmore Hall.

WWAA owns a superb Steinway grand piano purchased with lottery funding.

Concert Sponsorship

If you enjoy the concerts you might like to consider contributing towards the cost of a forthcoming one, perhaps to celebrate a personal occasion. On average the cost of the artists is £1,000 per concert and WWAA would welcome any contribution you would like to make, either anonymously or with acknowledgement in the programme. You could of course specify which concert you would like your donation to go towards. Please contact the Treasurer Mr Frank Gregory, High Barn, The Mall, Totland IW, PO39 0DR Tel. 752662. Cheques should be made payable to West Wight Arts Association.

Thank you.

Would season ticket holders who propose not to make use of their tickets at any given recital please inform the secretary (Liz Wason, 752596) so that gaps towards the front of the hall may be filled. Thank you
